Christmas Cheer

The last two weeks we have had cold and icy weather. Some days it has rained on the ice and made walking difficult.

I set up my Christmas display in the Artful Garden on Wednesday. The scarecrows were frozen to their seats so I had to prizes their arms and heads so I could dress them in their Christmas outfits.

New this year is Jack Frosty. He is made from recycled plastic and newspaper. He doesn't mind the cold but hates the wet as any snowman would!

Jill our sheepdog is not usually found of cats but she made friends with this little kitten on our walk.

Last Saturday we had a walk to Loughrigg from Ambleside. The mist during the walk was very spectacular and we were able to avoid the rain.

As we started to climb we could see the broken view from among the clouds.

Today I had my first craft fair. I sold my pottery houses, birds flower cane topper and a hen. I was please with the success of my first event.

A Walk in Coombe Wood

This week we have had several severe frosts and it has stayed cold for most of the day.  The nights are really drawing in.
We have had several walks this week with Jill in Coombe Wood near Armathwaite.
