Sunny Spring

A week of contrasts. At the start of the week it was very warm and I got sun burnt when I was on my allotment on Tuesday. I have been doing a lot of gardening this week planting seeds both flowers and vegetables in my greenhouse.
Just a few seeds are beginning to show

I have started to extend my allotment beds. We have just acquired a border collie and she is occupying a lot of our time. She is very timid but I manged to coax her onto the allotment on Tuesday. Once she settled in she was happy.

So many spring flowers are in full bloom. Daffodils come in many different varieties and sizes.

I have several large hyacinths that have a strong perfume.
They flower for a long time

The drumstick primulas stand up straight.

Halloween Happenings

I spent Monday morning setting up the Halloween display in the Artful Garden.
Halloo Cat is new for this year.
Stare if you dare
All the scarecrows are wearing witches hats and this season's noses.
Boozy Floozie is seeing double too much witch's brew

Crazy Maisie is wearing spooky gloves.

Check out my cape
Boo, did I scare you
A spider's web and skeleton decorate the entrance to the summerhouse.
The skeleton glows in the dark

 Baabaara is wearing Halloween hat.
Love the pumpkin bunting

DuoRecyclo is wearing Halloween bunting.
This does nothing for my street cred
I have hung up some wreaths in the cherry tree. They are similar to the ones I made with the school children. As the leaves dry they change shape.

I have been busy catching up on weeding. I have planted my garlic and onions.
